Anil Kapoor Early LifeAnil Kapoor came to life in the year 1956 December twenty-fourth. His father is a film producer Surinder Kapoor. He was raised in Chembur, Mumbai. Kapoor started his acting career at the age of 12 years in 1971 in the film Tu Payal Mein Greet. During the year of 1979, he played a small role in Hamasre Tumhare. His debut film as the main movie star was in 1980 in the Vamsa Vruksham which was directed by Bapu. It was his first Telugu film. Kapoor first debut in a Kannada film was when he starred in Pallavi Anu Pallavi(1983). Kapoor first Filmfare Award was in the best-supporting Actor category due to his role in Mashaal(1984). Kapoor later won the award for Best Actor at the film fare award ceremonies for acting in the movie Tezaab(1988) and in 1992 for starring in Beta. In 2009 he starred in the acclaimed movie Slumdog Millionaire. The acclaimed movie won Kapoor an international award. The movie won several awards in Golden Globe Awards and in the Oscars for Best Picture. In 2010 he acted as a villain in ABC series 24. He portrayed Omar Hassan, Head of State of the fictional Islamic Republic of Kamistan. He has bought the rights of the series to shoot a new rendition.
