Diljit Dosanjh is an Indian actor, television personality, social media influencer, musician, and brand endorser born on 6 January 1984 in Jalandhar district, Punjab, India. He is mostly recognized for his contribution as an actor in Punjabi and Bollywood movies. Diljit is also an accomplished musician and very popular in the Punjabi music scene.

He was born to Balbir Singh and Sukhwinder Kaur in the year 1984 January sixth and raised in Punjab India with the other two siblings. He achieved his high school diploma from Shri Guru Public School.
Diljit Dosanjh Acting Career
Diljit began his career by singing Sikh religious music while still at school. He released his first and second album through Finestone Cassettes in the year 2004. The albums were Ishq Da Uda Ada and Dil. His music continued soaring by releasing music albums consecutively: Smile(2009), Ishq Ho Gaya(2006), Chocolate( 2008), The next level (2006). Diljit made a soundtrack for the movie Mel Karade Rabba in 2010. Diljit’s first movie was The Lion of Punjab(2011). It was a flop in the box office though the soundtrack was a success. The lead song Lak 28 Kudi Da was number 1 in Asian categories in charts. He starred in Juhne Mera Dil Luteya(2011) and refused to release the controversial album Urban Pendu.
Since then Diljit continued releasing and starring in movies like Jatt & Juliet(2012), his album Back 2 Basics(2012), Saadi Love Story(2013), and Phillauri.
Through his Bollywood debut Udta Punjab(2016) he won the best male debut by Filmfare awards ceremonies. His song Karku(2013) won the song of the year award from Brit Asia awards and PTC awards. He has participated in the coke studio MTV series with a duet with Singer Gurdas Maan. He will be the first turbaned Sikh to be modeled with a wax statue at Madame Tussauds.
When Coca-Cola wanted to raise brand awareness in Punjab it contracted Diljit. On Flipkart(e-commerce) connect campaign it chose Diljit to be the face of the campaign. Being sponsored by Pro Kabbadi League he sang the theme song.
Diljit is the founder of the charity organization Saanjih Foundation. Its principal focus is on helping the children, seniors, orphanages, and nursing homes. It also empowers the youth with career advice, mentorship programs, anti-bullying policies, and well being. He formed the organization on his birthday in 2013.
Gorbinder Singh and Kartar Singh, both musicians, are significant influences on the style of music Diljit makes. He regularly tours in the USA, Canada, and the UK.
