Hrithik Roshan’s father, Rakesh Roshan is a film director and mother, Pinky is the daughter of a famous producer J. Om Prakash. His childhood memories were not so good as he felt isolated due to an extra thumb attached to his right hand and also suffered from stammering problem at the age of six.
All these things affected his schooling life and he attended various speech therapy sessions to overcome his problem of stammering.

Hrithik Roshan’s first on screen debut movie was Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai opposite to actress Ameesha Patel. This movie was directed by his father Rakesh Roshan and proved to be a successful movie of the year 2000 with the global earning of 600 million. This film elevated his acting career as in the same year he won both Best Actor and Best Debut at Filmfare.
After this, he worked in many super hit films like Fiza, Yaadein, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage, Na Tum Jano Naa Hum and many more.
In 2003, he worked in Koi Mil Gaya which was again a turning point in his life as this film gave him overnight success due to his extraordinary acting and won many awards for the same. This was the most famous film of that year with the global earnings of around 800 million.
