John Abraham began his career as a model. He was featured as a substitute model mostly and he ended up gaining popularity thus making himself a demand in the market. While doing this he also worked with an advertising agency, Enterprise Nexus in Mumbai. However, his substitute roles earned him reputable features in Punjabi songs where he created a name for himself. He ended up working in reputable companies in Hong Kong and New York during his latter career. In 2003, John featured in his first film debut, Jism which earned him a nomination to the Film Fare Best Debut Award. This in turn opened up doors for more of his success.
