Trisha Krishnan, popularly known as Trisha is an Indian film actress born on 4 May 1983 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. She is popular for working in Tamil and Telugu films mostly. Her nickname is Honey. She made her acting debut as a lead actress in 2002 with Mounam Pesiyadhe, a Tamil movie directed by Ameer.

Trisha Krishnan Personal Life
She got admission to Sacred Heart Matriculation Hr. Sec School, Church Park, Chennai to complete her schooling, and then graduated in Business Administration (BBA) from Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai. She won the “Miss Salem” and “Miss Madras” beauty contests in 1999 that led to her entry into the Indian Film industry. Trisha engaged to Varun Manian (Chennai-based Businessman) on 23 January 2015 but the relationship did not last long as the couple ended their engagement in May 2015. She loves her mother more than anybody else. She is very fond of swimming, reading books & novels and listening to music in her leisure.

Trisha Krishnan started her acting career in 1999 with Jodi but got her first lead actress role in the 2002 released Tamil movie, Mounam Pesiyadhe. In 2003, she acted in 5 Tamil movies namely Manasellam, Saamy, Lesa Lesa, Alai, and Enakku 20 Unakku 18. She made her Telugu cinema debut with Varsham in 2004, directed by M S Raju. Her role as Shailaja in the movie was critically acclaimed and helped her become an overnight sensation. She also went on to win her first South Filmfare Best Actress Award for her excellent work in Varsham. She won the South Filmfare Best Actress Award for two more movies namely, Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana (2005), and Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule (2007).
Her Bollywood debut came in 2010 with Khatta Meetha, opposite co-actor Akshay Kumar. Trisha won the Vijay Award for Favorite Heroine in 2010 for her excellent role in Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa. Her upcoming Tamil movies are Parampadham Vilayattu, Garjnai, Raangi, and Ponniyin Selvan. She is also shooting for a Malayalam movie Ram, directed by Jeetu Joseph.
